1. Catch a sunset on Sunset Beach
This little beach is our favorite. Sunset Beach is located on the southern tip of Treasure Island. This neighborhood is open to all wakes of life and is popular with the local LGBT community. Sunset Beach is home to some fantastic beachside bars and has loads to look at. There is also a picturesque boardwalk at the very end of this island that takes you around the tip.

We were lucky enough to catch the incredible sunset Sunday night. Once the storm cleared we were in for some seriously lit up clouds.

2. Eat Pizza and Wings at Foxy’s.

Foxy’s Cafe is a Treasure Island staple. It has been in the same spot for over 35 years. The menus have stayed the same, as well as how they prepare their food. They are mostly known for their pizza and wings. They are easy to find with ample parking. They offer great service, affordable prices, and a great atmosphere.

We had delicious garlic wings and foxtails (chicken tenders). Their sauces are finger-licking good and our server, Nicole, was on pointe.
3. Get Ice Cream from Larry’s

You can’t talk about St. Pete Beach without mentioning Larry’s. Larry’s has been serving this community since 1984. It is family owned and operated. They are famous for outstanding quality and too many flavors (laugh emjoi). Today, they currently have over 100 flavors which include dairy & gluten free options. Local craft beers and wine are served here making this place even cooler. They also have added delicious mini donuts to their menu… I mean, how can you resist?
We each grabbed a scoop each of ice cream. I got mint chip and Phill got butterscotch bomb. We ate it to fast to get a picture… And it was goooooood.
Each one of these locations represents part of what this beach life is all about. Good people, good food, good views, good times.

Make sure to check out these spots the next time you want to live like a local!
